The path to motherhood is never easy, the path through it is often harder. There are seven lures so far, one for each year since my daughter was born. These objects are beautiful and enticing but the underlying
structure is an incredibly sharp hook. This is the reality of my experience so far as a mother, beautiful in it’s own way but also painful. I am the one these hooks are meant to reel in, and I have no choice but to bite and get pulled along for the ride.
